DOBROPILLIA (Добропілля)
Region (Oblast): Donetsk
Ukrainian | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on March 24, 1999.
The arms indicate the geographical position, with agriculture (green fields) and mining (black base and tools). The sunflowers are also a main crop, whereas the field flowers at the other side of the shield symbolise nature.
During Soviet times the arms below were used, with symbols of industry, mining and agriculture. The arms were adopted on November 21, 1984.
