English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1918 and again registered in 1974.
The arms were created for the Town of Katrineholm. The cross symbolise the junction of the main railways on their way to Stockholm, the other charges symbolise trade (the staff of Mercury), industry (the hammer) and gardening (the rose).
The arms in the Kaffe Hag album +/- 1935 |
Literature: Nevéus and de Waern, 1992
