Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 15, 1952 and again on December 1, 2015.

The ibex refers to a topographical name in the municipality. The patriarchal cross is a remembrance to Andreas Frühwirth, Cardinal and Maior of the Church in the 19th century, who was born in St. Anna. In his arms he bore the Styrian panther, holding a patriarchal cross.
