The arms combine elements from the arms of the former municipalities. The wheel is taken from the old arms of Matzenbach and Gimsbach. The wavy bend is canting (Bach is stream, brook) for all former municipalities, whereas the lower part is taken from the oldest known seal of Eisenbach. The meaning of the symbol is not known, most likely it is an old village symbol without specific meaning.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on November 4, 1986.

Literature: Debus, 1988
