The base shows a basket, a symbol for the historical tradition of basket weaving in the municipality. The upper half combines the arms of the Lords of Redwitz and the Dukes of Sachsen-Coburg. The first owned most of the villages of Schneckenlohe and Beikheim, the latter in Mödlitz.
