English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 10, 1998, but have been used for centuries.

The arms have been used for the city since the 15th century. The arms are probably canting (Bock=billy goat). The background colours are those of Brandenburg.

There is also a legend on the arms, which states that the city counsellors could not decide upon a name and arms of the new city and convened above the city gate for inspiration. At that moment, an old lady named Jutta came with her billy goat through the gate. This inspired them for the name and arms.
