Escudo partido y entado en punta. Primero, armas de Castilla. Segundo, de azur, un paisaje de sinople con el sol de oro ocultándose tras una loma. Entado en punta, de plata caballo de sable. Al timbre corona real de España.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on February 28, 2001.
The castle is the castle of the arms of Castille, and symbolises the importance of this area in the first phase of the consolidation of the County of Castile. The sun behind the hills (tras la loma) is a canting element. The horse is of the Losimo breed, a famous breed of the region.
