Escudo de ouro, com um molho de três espigas de trigo verde, cruzadas em ponta e atadas de vermelho, acompanhadas pela cruz do Templo e pela de Malta, ambas de vermelho. Chefe de negro, carregado de uma águia de ouro saínte. Em contra-chefe, três faixas ondadas, duas de azul e uma de prata. Coroa mural de prata de cinco torres. Listel branco com os dizeres : " CONCELHO DA MAIA", de negro.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 23, 1986.
Unfortunately I have no background information on these arms. Any information is welcome !
The previous arms were granted on May 26, 1936 and only differ in the crown.
