German heraldry:

Selected collector's items from Germany:

GÖRZHAIN

State : Hessen
District (Kreis) : Schwalm-Eder Kreis (until 1973 Ziegenhain)
Incorporated into : 1973 Ottrau

Wappen von Görzhain

Official blazon

(de)

Origin/meaning

The arms were not officially granted, but are based on the only historical seal known of the council, dating from 1802.

The meaning of the elements, which were used in many more municipalities in the Ziegenhain region, is not known, they may simply refer to the rich agriculture in the region. Compare for example : Berfa, Riebelsdorf, Röllshausen, Rückershausen and Asterrode.
