MELLRICH

District (Kreis) : Soest (until 1972 Lippstadt)
Amt : Amt Anröchte
Incorporated into : 1975 Anröchte
Official blazon
(de)
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on August 30, 1951.
The arms are a combination of elements from the arms of former Lords of Mellrich. The two horns are derived from the arms of the Von Mellrich family, who ruled the village and estate until 1483. The bars are derived from the arms of the Von Fürstenberg family, Lords of Mellrich from 1829-1813.
