- (1952) Kultakentässä seisova karhu pidellen molemmin käsin päänsä yläpuolella pitkällään olevaa tynnyriä, jonka ylälaidassa olevasta tapinreiästä nousee liekki; kaikki mustaa paitsi karhun varukset ja tynnyristä nouseva liekki punaiset.
- (2013) Sinisessä kentässä nyhäkoroinen kärki, josta nousee kaarisakarainen risti; molemmat hopeaa.
Origin/meaning
After the merger of 2013, the new municipality uses the old arms of Töysä.
The previous arms were officially granted on August 12, 1952.
The arms show a bear taken from the old seal of the Storkyro parish, to which the village originally belonged. The flaming barrel refers to the production of tar in the municipality.
