BASSE-BODEUX
Province : Liège
Incorporated into : 1977 Trois-Ponts
Official blazon
De gueules à trois forces renversées d'argent posées 2 et l, l'écu placé aux pieds de la Vierge tenant de la dextre une tige fleurie, le tout d'argent.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 16, 1914.
The arms are those of the Rahier family, Lords of Basse-Bodeux from 1732 until the end of the 18th century. The supporter is based on the 17th century seal of Bodeux, which shoes either St. Anne or St. Mary. In 1914 she is described as St. Mary.
