SUNTHAUSEN
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Schwarzwald-Baar Kreis (until 1973 Donaueschingen)
Incorporated into : 1974 Bad Dürrheim
Official blazon
(de) Mit silber-blauem Wolkenbord geteilt, oben in Grün ein goldener Balken, unten in Gold eine liegende schwarze Hirschstange.
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 1902.
The arms were designed by the State Archives in 1902 and combine the arms of the medieval Lords of Sunthausen with the bordure of Fürstenberg. The Lords of Sundhausen were vassals of the Counts (later Princes) of Fürstenberg.
