German heraldry:

Selected collector's items from Germany:

SANKT MAURITZ

State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
Urban District (Stadtkreis) : Münster
Amt : Amt Sankt Mauritz
Incorporated into : 1975 Münster

Wappen von Sankt Mauritz

Official blazon=

Gespalten durch einen Wellenschnitt vorn in Blau drei versetzt aufrechtstehende goldene Weizenähren und hinten in Gold ein blaues Wassermühlrad mit schwarzen Schaufeln.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1965.

The arms show the three wheatears taken from the arms of the Amt Sankt Mauritz. The wavy pale, the water mill wheel and the blue colour symbolise the Werse river with its (former) water mills.
