Escudo de verde, com uma fonte de prata repuxando do mesmo, acompanhada em chefe, por duas cabeças barbadas de reis, à dextra de rei branco e à sinistra de rei mouro. Coroa mural de quatro torres de prata. Listel de branco com legenda de negro : " VILA DE MONCHIQUE ".
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on February 16, 1985.
Unfortunately I have no background information on these arms. Any information is welcome !
Previously the city used the arms below, which were not officially granted. The design of the shield is the same, but the crown and motto were not according to Portuguese standards.
