OBERLUNKHOFEN
Canton : Aargau
Official blazon
Geteilt von Gelb mit schreitendem, rot bewehrtem und gezungtem schwarzen Löwen und von Rot mit zwei gekreuzten weissen Schlüsseln.
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 1964.
The lion is derived from the arms of the St. Leodegar Abbey in Luzern, which had in medieval times many possessions in the area. The keys are derived from the arms of the Kelleramt of Zürich, which had several privileges in the area. Until 1964 the municipality used only the crossed keys.
The arms in the Kaffee Hag albums 1914-1960 |
