Mustassa kentässä kultapalkki, jossa kolme mustaa, punavaruksista, seisovaa sorsaa hirsittäin.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on December 12, 1952.
The arms are canting for the Tavinsalmi royal manor in the municipality. Tavi means teal and the arms thus show three ducks, salmi means sound/strait and the arms show a golden bend.
