Escudo de ouro, duas achas de vermelho, encabadas de negro, com lâminas voltadas para os flancos do escudo e passadas em aspa; em chefe, oliveira de verde, arrancada do mesmo e frutada de negro; em ponta, arado de vermelho com os ferros de negro. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro, em maiúsculas : “ SÃO MATIAS - BEJA “.
