HOHENECKEN
State : Rheinland-Pfalz
Urban district (Stadtkreis) : Kaiserslautern
Incorporated into : 1969 Kaiserslautern
German |
Origin/meaningThe arms were granted on November 27, 1926. The golden billets and the bar are derived from the arms of the Hohenecken district (see also Erfenbach and Siegelbach), known since 1685. To distinguish the arms from those of the other villages, a rose was added. The arms are based on the arms of the Lords of Hohenecken, who used in red a silver pale, flanked by five golden billets on each side. The arms without the billets are the base of the arms of Kaiserslautern.
