Official blazon

Schräglinks geteilt; vorne in Silber ein schräg liegendes grünes Eichenblatt, hinten in Silber drei rote Balken.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 4, 1962.

The oak leaf is a canting element, the name is derived from 'Eichenwald' or oak forest. The lower half is taken from the arms of the von Croy family, who live in the local castle (compare other Croy arms in Belgium : Givry, Rance, Bever, Sivry, Macon, Thieu and many others).
