Alstaden.jpg

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 19, 2004.

Alstaden never used its own arms as an independent municipality, the above arms were designed for the Oberhausen borough in 2004. The upper half shows a farmer and minin tools, symbols for the most important activities in the village. The lower half symbolises the position of the village at the Ruhr river.
