German | Schild durch blaugold geschachten Balken geteilt, oben in Schwarz ein wachsender, herschauender, rotgezungter und -bewehrter silberner Löwe, unten in Rot eine goldene Kelter, Schildbord in blaugold (achtfach) geständert.
Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on November 9, 1966. The arms show in the upper part the lion of the Rheingrafen, who ruled the area in medieval times. The checquered bar is taken from the arms of the Counts of Sponheim, to whom most of the area later belonged. The base shows a grape press, symbol for the importance of viticulture in the region. The bordure is a common symbol for Verbandsgemeinden. To the Verbandsgemeinde belong:
