Heraldry of the World Civic heraldry of Germany - Deutsche Wappen (Gemeindewappen/Kreiswappen) |
AHA
State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Weissenburg-Gunzenhausen (until 1972 Gunzenhausen)
Incorporated into : 1978 Gunzenhausen
Official blazon
Gespalten, vorn geteilt von Schwarz und Gold, oben eine goldene Lilie, unten eine rote Rose mit goldenem Butzen und silbernen Kelchblättern, hinten geviert von Silber und Schwarz.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 28, 1958.
The fleur-de-lys and the rose are taken from the arms of the Lords von Zocha, who owned the village in the 17th century. The quartered shield is the arms of the Hohenzollern dynasty as Burggraves of Nürnberg and Lords of Aha in the 14th century.
