Origin/meaning
The arms are derived from the arms of the Counts of Kiburg (see Thurgau), who founded the Fraubrunnen Abbey in the early Middle Ages. The arms of the Abbey were later used by the city, and are, since 1803, also used by the district of Fraubrunnen.
