In Rot eine gestielte goldene Hopfendolde. Origin/meaningThe oldest seal of the town dates from the 17th century and already shows the hops flower. The cultivation of hops was the main activity in the area at the time. In the early 19th century the arms wrongly showed a bunch of golden grapes in a blue field. In the late 19th century the arms were completely forgotten, but were restored in original colours in 1954.
