In Silber auf grünem Dreiberg stehend ein rot bewehrter blauer Reiher mit einem blauen Fisch im Schnabel. Origin/meaningThe arms show a heron with a fish. This composition is already seen on the oldest seal of the town, dating from the late 14th century. The town was originally situated in a marshland and the heron probably was a common bird in the area.
