The arms show red lion of the County of [[Katzenelnbogen]], to which the village historically belonged. The lower half shows a beech leaf and flowers, symbolising the mixed forests surrounding the village. The blue and silver are the colours of Hessen, as the Counts of Hessen inherited the Katzenelnbogen Estate.

Schild von Gold und Blau geteilt. Oben auf dem goldenen Grund ein dem Betrachter zugewandter roter Löwe, blau bewehrt, mit blauer Zunge und blauer Krone. Unten auf dem blauen Grund ein Fruchtstand und zwei Blätter der Hainbuche in Silber.
