In keel een dolfijn in natuurlijke kleur springend boven een golvende schildvoet van zilver en azuur van vier stukken. Als embleemspreuk IK ZAL VOORGAAN in Latijnse letters van zilver op een lint van keel.
Origin/meaning
The Dolphin is canting. The Motto which translates "I shall go first" refers to the Dolphin's playful habit of leaping in fornt of travelling ships. As a Motto for a Submarine it is also an expression of courage.Approved 9 August 1960.
The name have been used by two Submarines the first in Service 1960-1985 and the second in service since 1993.
