In Grün über rotem Rad mit goldenen Flügeln ein silberner Hochspannungsmast beseitet von goldenen Ähren. Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on February 28, 1994. The arms were designed after a contest in 1962 and show typical elements of DDR heraldry at the time; symbols for transport (railways, wings), electrical power (for the local power station) and agriculture. Until 1994 the arms showed the same design, but in other colours:
