Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 13, 1939.

The arms are a combination of elements of the arms of two families that played an important role in the local history. The griffin is taken from the arms of the Von Consbruch family, the three roses from the arms of the Verhagen family. Both owned the Holsedieck estate in the muniipality.
