Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on December 27, 1954.
The wavy bar symbolises the Treene river in the municipality. This river was formerly used for shipping and thus of great importance for the village. The owl is a symbol for the former district of Uggelharde, Ugle being Danish for owl. The owl was used by the district in its seals in the 19th century.
