Origin/meaning
The arms show a canting church (Kirche). The arms were officially granted in 1420 by Duke Johann of Straubing-Holland and confirmed in 1456. The arms officially have not changed since. All images, seals and decorations show the same arms, even though the actual shape of the church does differ between the images. The colours have not changed since 1562. Hupp showed the same church, but on a green field in the base.
The arms by Hupp in the Kaffee Hag albums +/- 1925 |
