Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 28, 1993.
The basket in the lower half symbolises the local handicraft of basket weaving. It is also a canting element (Korb=basket). The green colour symbolises the pastures in the municipality, which are further symbolised by the willow in the upper half, as willows often are found next to the pastures. The silver and red bend is taken from the red and silver bars of the lion in the arms of the state of Thüringen.
