Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 25, 1987.
The oxen-head and the railway line refer to the former and present transport lines through the village. In historical times the village was crossed by the Ochsenstrasse (oxroad), on which yearly many oxen were transported from Hungary to Bayern. Nowadays a railway line crosses the village.
The base is derived from the arms of the Atzbeck family, in the 14th century vassals of the Counts of Schaunberg, who had their estate in the municipality. The green field symbolises the agricultural character of the municipality.
