Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 7th April 1989.

The three billets Argent on Gules charged with a wing Azure are the arms of the Sentmenat family, lords of the local castle (12th century), barons and, since 1691, marquises of Sentmenat (this is shown by the marquis crown at the top of the arms).
