Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 11, 1967.
The arms show the arms of the three terrotories to which the area historically belonged: the bars for the County of Isenburg-Arenfels, the hammers for the County Hammerstein and the cross for the State of Trier. The bordure shows the colours of Germany.
