Official blazon
- (1986) På raud grunn fem svevande sølv sparrar, 2-2-1.
- (2006) Åttedelt av sølv og raudt ved virvelsnitt.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 10, 2006.
The arms show the design of the previos arms of Ølen in the colours of the old arms of Vindafjord.
The previous arms were granted on December 12, 1986.
The arms show five boathouses, as the local boathouses often are painted white. The number stands for the two former municipalities, as well as for the parts of Imsland, Vats and Skjold that formed the new municipality.
