Origin/meaning
Waidhaus was already mentioned as a town in medieval times, but the town did not have its own seal or arms. The present arms were granted on October 17, 1877 by King Ludwig II of Bayern.
The arms are canting and shows a house in a forest (Waidhaus from Waldhaus or forest-house). The arms have not changed since.
The arms by Hupp in the Kaffee Hag albums +/- 1925 |
