Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 1895.
The arms ar ethose of the medieval Lords Von Remchingen, who had their estate in the village and owned the area as a loan from Baden. They sold the castle to the Margraves of Baden in 1562.
The arms were porposed by the State Archives, as the village had no historical (heraldic) seals or arms.
