CONESA
Region : Catalonia
Province : Tarragona
Catalan | Escut caironat: d'argent, una muralla oberta de 2 torres de sable acompanyada al cap d'una creu llatina patriarcal patent de gules. Per timbre una corona mural de poble. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on March 27, 1996.
šThe arms show the ancient walls of the village (partially preserved until nowadays)and the two main gates. Above there is a cross in allusion to the monastery of Santes Creus, to which Conesa belonged from 1285 until 1835, the year of the Mendizábal's "desamortización" (the sale of the Church lands make by the Spanish Liberal prime minister).
