Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 15, 1993.
The golden lion is the lion of the Counts of Schwarzburg who ruled the village for many centuries.
The water mill wheel symbolises the formerly important water mills in the municipality, which have been in use from the middle of the 15th century until the 1920s.
The grapes symbolise the Weinberg (wine mountain) mentioned in the first half of the 14th century near the village.
