CLAYEURES

Département : Meurthe-et-Moselle

Blason de Clayeures/Arms (crest) of Clayeures
Official blazon
French

D'or à la tour de sable, ajourée et ouverte du champ, maçonnée d'argent et accostée de deux bracelets ouverts adossés de gueules.

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The tower is taken from the arms of the Raigecourt family, former Lords of Clayeures. The two bracelets are those found in the Bronze Age necropolis of Naguée located on the territory of the municipality. Their arrangement in the shield recalls a C, the initial of the commune.
