Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 2, 1994.

The linden tree symbolises the four villages in the municipality, in all there is a large linden tree on the main square. The linden tree in Baldenhain supposedly is more than 1000 years old. The two black diamonds, stones (Steine) are a canting element. The escutcheon shows a lapwing, which is a typical bird for the municipality. The base symbolises the Sprotte river that flows through the municipality.
