German Von Silber und Rot geteilt, belegt mit einem silbernen Herzschild mit rotem Balken, beseitet von oben zwei, unten einer roten Kugel, oben wachsend ein blaugekleideter Mann mit Zipfelmütze, die Linke in die Hüfte gestützt, in der Rechten einen roten Kolben haltend, unten ein goldenes Posthorn.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on November 26, 1954.

The village belonged until the end of the 18th century to the Kolb von Wartenberg family. Their arms are shown on the small inescutcheon. The upper half of the arms shows the savage with a canting stick (Kolb), from the crest of the family arms.

The lower half shows a postal horn. The horn was added to the arms after Johann Casimir Kolb von Wartenberg (1643-1712), since 1699 Graf (Count), became Postmaster-General in Prussia in 1702, see image below.
