District (Kreis) : Donnersbergkreis (until 1969 Rockenhausen)

Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on November 9, 1976.
The anchor is taken from the arms of the former Reipoltskirchen estate. The fountain is a canting element (Schönborn means beautiful fountain). The fleur-de-lis on top of the fountain as well as the colours are taken from the arms of the Randeck family, who had several possessions in the area.
The chief is derived from the arms of the Lords of Hunolstein, who had possessions in the village since 1437.
