The arms were adopted on February 26, 1993.
The castle symbolises the entrance of the manor of Maine de Biran located in Grateloup. The cross is the symbol of the Occitanie region.
The bends are taken from the arms of the Maine de Biran family. The dragon is a symbol for the local patron saint, St. Front, who killed a dragon.
