5TH INTELLIGENCE SQUADRON, US AIR FORCE
History: Constituted as 955 Signal Radio Intelligence Company, Aviation, on 23 July 1942. Activated on 1 August 1942. Redesignated as 5 Radio Squadron, Mobile (J) on 29 February 1944. Inactivated on 27 January 1946. Redesignated as: 5 Radio Squadron, Mobile on 14 November 1946; 301 Radio Squadron, Mobile, on 19 March 1948. Activated in the Reserve on 15 June 1948. Inactivated on 26 July 1949. Redesignated as 5 Radio Squadron, Mobile, on 2 November 1949. Disbanded on 15 June 1983. Reconstituted, and redesignated, as 5 Intelligence Squadron on 3 September 2014. Activated on 26 September 2014.
