The arms were officially granted on September 23, 1969.
The arms are based on the arms of the Bildstein family, granted to the family in 1656. The cross at the same time symbolises that the Bildstein church is an important church and a place for pilgrimage in the 17th century. Literature : Burmeister, 1975
