ERDMANNHAUSEN

State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Ludwigsburg

Wappen von Erdmannhausen/Arms (crest) of Erdmannhausen
Official blazon
German

Unter goldenem, mit einer vierendigen schwarzen Hirschstange belegten Schildhaupt in Blau ein aus dem Schildfuß wachsender linksgekehrter goldener Abtsstab.

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 18, 1954.

The arms show in the chief a deer antler for Württemberg. The crozier is a symbol of the Murrhardt Monastery, to which the local church historically belonged. The monastery also had several possessions in the municipality.

The 18th century seal (used since 1772) of the village showed a crosier as a symbol for the monastery. The original symbol was not clearly recognised and the crosier had an S-shaped form.

Siegel von Erdmannhausen

The municipal stamp shown in 1892
