Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on May 28, 2014.
The arms refer to the two former rulers of the area. The crown ad star are taken from the arms of the Cathedral Chapter of Plock. After the secularisation several families had possession of (parts of) the area. In the end the arms of the Trzaska family were chosen for the lower half of the shield, as they owned most of the area for a longer period of time. Their arms showed a crescent over a sword.
